Ciro Amore came into my home as a 2 month old kitten in December of 2005. He was more to me than a pet; he was my son, he was my shadow, he was my rock when life made me sad.
The joy he brought into my life was immense and too large for me to describe in this little box. And the joy and laughter he gave to his Facebook followers makes me happy and will always rest in my heart.
We had our early morning rituals (he sat by my feet most weekdays while I made up to go to work), and our weekend rituals (early morning each Saturday & Sunday at the computer, with he and my cup of coffee), which is when I miss him the most, and the void is overwhelming.
He was a sweet lil’boy, affectionate, playful, smart (he knew both Engish & Italian!) and was such a happy cat – even through most of the 5 years he was ill. To say he was a trooper through his ill years doesn’t do him justice – he was a Superhero!!
He loved to dance, and I made sure we danced with him in my arms most of the day of his passage, which made him purr endlessly. I played his song “A Kiss to Build a Dream On” while he was going into his forever sleep and told him over and over again how much he meant to me. He went peacefully, knowing he was loved and adored – I wouldn’t have had it any other way!
My heart is breaking, because I miss him so very much. Yet at the same time, I have peace inside knowing now he has crossed The Rainbow Bridge and he no longer feels pain. He, too, is finally in peace.
