Most cats are entertained by silly little things like tin foil balls and laser pointers, but not our Simba!
He became part of our family at 8 weeks old. Everyone was delighted by the little grey striped ball of fluff. The Rodriguez kids were entertained by waving cat toys in front of Simba and watching him play. They even affixed shoelaces to the back of their pants and ran around as Lil Simba chased behind them!
We soon learned as Simba began maturing that his kitten antics were merely child’s play. My husband brought a laser pointer home and the family watched to see if Simba would chase behind the beam but he sure surprised us! After initially running after it and realizing it was not an object Simba never chased behind that laser beam again! He was definitely smarter than the average cat! Anytime the kids would point the laser beam on the wall Simba would look at it, turn his head in their direction as if to say “c’mon really! I am way to smart for these shenanigans!”
