“Today my Winston passed on”
Today my Winston passed on,
I wish I could say I had a heart of stone,
But the pain will take some time from being gone.
I remember his “Vizsla dog for sale post” calling out to me,
He was meant to be ours and he was meant for me,
Now I have to remember him as best as I can and let him just be.
We had plenty of good times in the hunting field,
Getting into it with a groundhog, thank god he healed,
Remembering the good times is what I wield.
We went for plenty of walks and long rides in the car too,
You ate plenty of good food, even mommy’s stew.
All I know is that I’m going to miss you.
Losing a friend, a family member is so hard,
I feel like I’m permanently scarred,
My mind is so jarred.
I hope I see you in the after life,
I hope you wait for me without any strife,
I hope this poem gives some solace to both me and my wife.
RIP Sir Theodore Winston
