Hani Estrada

May 5, 2019  —  August 2, 2025

Hani was adopted by a young college kid with the same sleep schedule as her. Being the last of her colony, she latched to me and stayed during my late night studies. She perched herself on my shoulder while I did mundane tasks like laundry, cleaning, and cooking. She was social to all humans around her, especially with food in hand. She would groom my partner while laying on top of her head. A year later, she’d welcome her new little sister, Coco, with open arms and became inseparable. As time continued, our family would slowly begin to grow, but Hani would remain our dearest eldest daughter. She was unfortunately injured and her health quickly began to decline. She passed in the comfort of her parent’s bed at the age of 6 years old. She will be missed by everyone who had ever been caught by her big, curious eyes.

Hani, from cute to sassy to pretty. Animals become our family and stay as part of an unbreakable circle. We don’t adopt them, they adopt us.

Hani was one of the best babies I could ever share with Saul. She really cared for all her colony members, parents included. Her personality and heart were bigger than her little body could hold. It is an honor to be your mommy on this earth and now in heaven. 🩷

I am very sorry for your loss. I know how much this hurts but know that you gave her the best life that any pet could ask for. I know she loved you deeply and appreciated you for everything that you did for her.

Three months later and you’re still on my mind every day. I miss you and your little cuddles so much 💔 your siblings are doing great. Coco finally gained more weight and she’s more social with her other siblings. I think she still misses you as much as mommy and daddy miss you 😞🩷
