It’s been one year since we lost our girl. There isn’t a day that goes by that we don’t miss her, share a memory and acknowledge the void that she’s left us with. We adopted Q from the humane society at the age of 5(ish) (unfortunately when adopting those personal details are unknown). I can still remember that scared little dog behind the fence. It took her a good 2 months to open up and begin to trust her new family but once she did she never looked back!
I was so naive & unaware of just how much she would become to me. She was my first dog and she became my world. Quinnie went everywhere with me, riding shotgun in the front seat with her ears flapping in the wind. Quinnie was smart, so very smart! She would DEMAND walks & car rides multiple times a day and I would happily supply them. I can still hear those “disapproving sneezes” and feel her paws at my ankle when her demands weren’t met quick enough, adventure was always needed stat!
Even in her old age she looked forward to her “sniffarie” adventures and family car rides.
Q was a force, such a personality that could never be replaced. Our home is so quiet without her but we were blessed to have had her for 12 long and wonderful years. Till our next adventure Quinnie….
