On Monday, July 21, 2025, Sally, our beloved Labrador, passed peacefully at the age of 11. Sally’s parents Sam and Rachel rescued her from Bogalusa, Louisiana, and they loved her like a daughter for over a decade living in New Orleans, Washington, DC, and Jersey City. Her passions including fetching during regular outings to dog parks, swimming at Matapeake State Park, and greeting all of her friends in the neighborhoods she lived in. Sally never encountered a soul without doing her best to illuminate them with her love. Sally’s will forever be missed by her favorite people: her grandmothers, Monica and Deborah; her cousins, Sofia and Leyla; Sam and Rachel’s family, friends, and neighbors; and of course, her beloved dog buddies: Aja, Butter, Maggie, Storm, Willow, and her little auntie Abigail. The hole she leaves in all of their hearts will never outweigh the warmth she brought to everyone lucky enough to meet her.
