In Loving Memory of Suki
With hearts full of love and sorrow, we say goodbye to our beloved Suki, who crossed the rainbow bridge after 14 beautiful years by our side. She wasn’t just a dog—she was family, and in her mind, she was a person just like us. Suki had a way of making everyone she met feel special, and she carried herself with a presence that made it clear she belonged right there among us, not just as a pet, but as an equal.
Though she wasn’t always fond of other dogs, she surprised us when we moved into our home and made friends with the neighbors’ pups—proof that even in her later years, she could still grow and change in the most wonderful ways. She loved car rides, always ready for an adventure, and she had a playful spirit that shone through in games of hide and seek around the house. But what truly made Suki special was her heart. She always knew when we weren’t feeling well, never leaving our side, offering quiet comfort in a way only she could.
Suki also had a deep love for food—something she never outgrew. Even in her final days, when illness had taken its toll, she found the strength to enjoy her favorite meal, turkey, surrounded by the people who loved her most. Her last day was a gift—one filled with visits from all of her favorite people, warmth, and love. And in a moment that felt like a blessing, she curled up on my lap, just like she used to before she became ill, giving me one last precious memory to hold onto.
Suki was strong, even when she was sick. The vet remarked that she was sicker than she appeared, but that was just who she was—patient, loving, and full of quiet resilience. She never let the illness define her. She gave us her best until the very end, and in return, we gave her the love she so freely gave us all these years.
Though our home feels emptier without her, our hearts are fuller for having known her. She was, and always will be, deeply loved.
Rest peacefully, sweet Suki. You were a once-in-a-lifetime companion, and you will forever be missed. 💔🌈
