Champ Papi Jr

Champ Papi Jr, was a doberman I got in my country that I’m from; Costa Rica. Being the poor country that it is I got him for free. However, just a week later during my vacation i noticed something weird. A 3 week old puppy was very bloated & grew to find out he had roundworms. I took him to the vet & they gave me some medicine, said it would be a miracle if he makes it past 6 months to live. I brought him back to the United States & I gave him a better life. I spoiled him every single day and we had our “first” every thing. Like a bucket list. I struggled with him for almost 7 or 8 months of him having worms, we finally made it! The rest of his life was a amazing time, what a healthy dog , always energized & hyper. A dog everybody loved, you would never forget who he is, we were bestfriends. Waking up everyday to doing everything together to going to sleep together snuggled up. The month of December 2020 I noticed something that hit me.. his worms had came back. For what way, i’m not sure to this day .. but it left his system again after a few days so I wasn’t too worried. A few days after Christmas our life changed before you know it. He wasn’t eating anymore, barely drinking water, didn’t want to play as much, bloated & breathing very heavy, it lasted for a week. And that whole week I made sure I do my best for him to be okay. He passed away in my arms, on top of me, feeling heart heart to his stopping on my heart, he collapsed into a small seizure & died 01/04/21. He made it to 2 & a half years old! Being his Mom for that long made me so blessed and grateful that God let me be his mom. It’s still a very hard process, but Friends Forever is such a great place!
