When I first moved out on my own, I wanted a cat. A few months later, for my 22nd birthday, I found Marco. From the beginning, the workers told me that he was the ‘leftover’. They said he seemed too big to be a kitten, so everyone passed on him. When I walked in, he was the only kitten in a environment full if puppies. I picked him up, he crawled his way across my shoulders and planted himself. So, needless to say, he came home with me. Now, I lived in a very tiny 450sqft apt. My new kitten disappeared!! Then, four days later, I decided to bake. All of a sudden, my kitten appears!! So we decided on a fit name for him—-MarcoPolo–Marco for short. And for real, I called him ‘Monkey’ most of the time. He was a jumper with a super long tail! And for 14+ years he loved every person and dog. He wasnt a huge fan of sharing his space with other cats, but he loved people and his brother dogs! Marco is missed everyday by those of us that can understand his passing and also by my dogs that know I am upset cause Marco isn’t with us anymore. I thank my vet and my crematorium for their understanding & compassion.
